  1. Paul, I do have a connection! Sasha is a 8-year old Shetland Sheepdog who came to us as a rescue (bad situation, happy ending) 7 years ago. She’s made it through the first two levels of Obedience despite her extreme aversion to noise (clickers cause her to panic) and other dogs. She also earned her Trick Dog (Novice) Title. We’re making progress, one day at a time!

In the fictional world, I write the Waterside Kennels mysteries Currently slogging through edits of book #2 in the series. You’re welcome to drop by my website at dogmysteries.com; I’m open to dog-related guest posts. And speaking of websites and blogs, your site is very nicely arranged with terrific info presented both in the main section and the right-side widgit column!

    1. Susan, I rather suspected that connection. I have just been across to your website and it has a great deal of information. I will have to have a better look soon. Indeed, I suspect that we have much to share. For example, I met my wife, Jean, in Mexico in Christmas, 2007 and she was born in London, as I was. Plus Jean in those days was rescuing dogs off the streets of San Carlos, making them healthy and finding homes for them mainly in Arizona. I went to live with Jean with my German Shepherd, Pharaoh (that’s him on the front cover of my book), in 2008 and then we came north to the USA to be married in 2010. Came across the border with 16 dogs! We are now down to just three.
