A very ancient event that is still important today.
BBC Radio 4 is broadcasting this week a series of programmes under the title of ‘An Almanac for Anxiety: In Search of a Calmer Mind’. The first episode was Fire.
The history of fire circles spans ancient human gathering traditions, modern pagan rituals, and even fire performance art, evolving from basic survival and community building around fire to intentional spiritual circles for healing, transformation, or entertainment, with practices rooted in ancient fire veneration and a recent resurgence of shamanic/Pagan practices in Western culture, notes 4qf.org and Patheos.
The above was copied, in part, from a Google ‘AI’ article.

Here is a YouTube video on how to participate in a Fire Circle:
A Very Happy New Year!
We have a young friend here has for a long time been a fire dancer. What a hypnotic captivating force that is!

Hawaii Island, Paul. Where we have lived most of our lives together. 😉

Bela, I’m sure I have asked this question before for your answer was not a surprise.
Your friend is clearly very inspired by the fire circle. Indeed, so are you and your husband. You said it perfectly; a hypnotic captivating force!

The element of fire! I miss it here on the island. We can’t have fire pits in our neighborhood. And of course we have the volcano which is erupting regularly these days, but that is a good 3 hours’ drive from here. And then there are way too many sightseers these days for me to have any motivation to check it out. Chris and I hiked 7 miles in over lava during the last big eruption. So I paid my dues. 😉 it is a spectacular site though. Fire plus earth equals molten lava flowing down to the sea!
