I’m speaking of a radio programme on BBC Radio 4.
Yesterday, we listened to a fabulous broadcast on the subject of Awe.
The programme was called ‘MORE WOW’ and the picture of the page from BBC Sounds follows:
It is available on BBC Sounds and the link is https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0022kt2
As I said to Jeannie the broadcast really spoke to me as each morning I am in awe of the black-tailed deer that I go down to feed near the old stables just outside the house.
Then I pause on my way back and look at Mount Sexton and the rising sun; again I am in awe.
Then at night, being a crystal-clear sky on many occasions, I am in awe at the heavens above.
The programme spoke of one being in awe of both the small and the large and I want to close with two of my photographs of me sensing awe in both scales.
oooo
That’s my story for today!

Awe can be found anywhere… guess. Nice reminder,

Oh Sue, dear Sue, thank you for your reply. We love living here despite the 13 acres being far too much for me to look after. Then I have to remind myself that there isn’t rule that says the land needs my attention. I just have to let the awe be my motivation and relax! I wish I was a more relaxed person!

13 acres, is impossible for one.. Nature however, will return everything back to order, the way it was intended..
I went a walk last weekend, I had not been on this public footpath for over a year.. I was amazed at how over grown it had become, because of lack of use… But I saw wonderful wild flowers, heard more birds.. Just relax Paul… All will continue as its meant with out you worrying about it.. ❤

I tend to be a worrier. I think mainly brought on by me having an emergency some years ago that resulted in me having two sub-dural bleedings and the surgeon telling me that I was a lucky person in that if he hadn’t operated that day I wouldn’t have survived! But now my memory is very poor!
Then I love being outdoors; seeing the trees, watching the bees feed on the dandelions, and much more. Plus feeding the wild deer early in the morning. That always grounds me plus the deer, usually 7 to 13 in number, are so friendly.
And thank you for your further reply.

I remember that Paul when you had your bicycle accident..
Just enjoy the moment, and how beautiful it must be to see so many wild deer on your doorstep.. Compared to many around our world, I feel very grateful.. ❤ ❤
