A sense of unity.
A short film by Alan Watts and Terence McKenna. A film that makes a perfect postscript to yesterday’s post: The tracks we leave.

Alan Watts and Terence McKenna talk about our need for a sense of unity as our global problems are getting worse and we have become enemies of our planet and each other.Music: Carbon Based Lifeforms – Comsat (Hydroponic Garden – 2003 [Ultimae Records])
There is a website in memory of the late Alan Watts here.
I found brand new coral reef building in the Med. I have a post coming on my site.

Terrific film…We need only to open our minds and hearts to the reality of our one-ness with people in all the world….to put away the culture of violence that results in man’s inhumanity to man, and embrace the opportunity to offer a helping hand to those in need…to share the blessings we have been given with those who have less. It’s time to realize that less is more….less war…..more peace….Worth striving for!

MaryAnne, you speak the wisdom that so many understand. Will we live long enough to see those changes? I fear not.

Very thoughtful video, thanks Paul.
The video with Alan Watts’ / Terence McKenna’s message is very reminiscent of the ancient philosophy of Buddhism and Hinduism, using the metaphor of Indra’s Diamond Net, which I first met in Fritjof Capra’s book, ‘The Tao of Physics’. There is a lovely explanation at http://awakeningtoreality.blogspot.ca/2009/04/net-of-indra.html, which complements our growing awareness of the unity of all living things in our world.
I’m hopeful more and more of us are heeding these thoughtful messages and rejecting the status quo that has brought about such misery, tragedy, catastrophe, for so long.
