Please do everything you can to find Roman a loving home.
I am republishing an item that appeared recently on the blog Mitt Skolearbeid.

Meet Roman
Hello! My name is Roman. Hear my story:
I was left behind, abandoned by my owner who has had me for 14 years. He left me tied up on a 3-foot leash in a trailer for about two weeks (maybe longer) with little or no care by my owner’s parents who were unable to care for me daily. Luckily, a kind and lovely lady named Chrissy, found me after she heard my desperate cries. Chrissy spoke to my owner’s parents and was able to get me out of my filthy living condition and to my foster home, where I’m getting endless love and doggy playmates. Please help me find a forever, loving home!
Roman is old, but he’s still strong and playful. He hops, runs, and bounces around as if he were still a pup. If you’re interested, please contact me!
Roman’s present home is in Seattle, Washington and if you know of anyone who might be interested then the contact details are here.
Plus, please share this as far and wide as possible.
Thank you!
UPDATE
In response to me querying what Roman was like with other dogs and how far he could be taken in terms of meeting up with a new owner:
He is great with other dogs 🙂 I have two other big pups and they all get along just fine.
It depends on the location. Within a 5hr drive is fair.

I wish I lived in Seattle because I would snatch this handsome guy up. That owner should be tied up and left in a trailer sans food. Sorry. That’s cruel but it is how I feel when I read stories like this. I am grateful it has a happy ending.

Susan, 99% of the time Jean and I are reasonably placid in our outlook. But stories like this bring out so much anger from us. As it clearly does with you and many others who call by this place. Big hugs!

Same to you, Paul. I have moved many times within the past couple of years & my dogs have always come with me!

What a beautiful boy! Having adopted a 12 year old neglected dog in the past year, I know they can making wonderful, loving, grateful companions. I’d have Roman too, but it’s a bit far to bring him to Tasmania….😄

It’s not that far if you say it quickly! 😉

I’m hopeful that sweet Roman gets a break and someone will adopt him. He’s a nice looking older pit but seems to he in good health. Lots of people are adopting nothing but old dogs or old cats- even those with health issues. They report an immensely gratifying experience. Many of these folks continue to add and/or replace the dog/cat that went over the bridge.

Dear Sue! We are just seven hours south from where Roman is presently being fostered and have been agonizing over whether to adopt him. But we are afraid. For our beloved Brandy very occasionally can be a little aggressive with the other dogs.
Plus we would so much prefer that Roman goes to someone who didn’t have so many other dogs and could be the sole focus of that person’s love.

I am sure the reasons you hesitate Paul are valued ones, and ones which you have also to consider is the happy Pack.. I am sure someone will make him a lovely home.. He is in the mean time being taken great care of.. I know if you could you and Jean would adopt thousands lol.. 🙂
