A smile for New Year’s day.

You are never too old …

Sent by our neighbour Dordie.

A 7 minute film about 85-year-old widower Horace ‘Horrie’ Bedwell’s quest to find a much younger woman, a beautiful blonde.

This film won 2nd prize at the 2013 Tropfest Australia short film festival. Deservedly so!

  1. The weird thing is, it’s not far from the truth, but merely an exaggerated vision of it. Who goes in search of love with a willingness to be their authentic selves at the outset?

    1. Oh Hariod, there’s a wonderful challenge on offer. One might extend that by asking who ever can ever be sufficiently self-aware to be authentic? (OK, slightly tongue-in-cheek response from me!)

      1. Gracious, there’s a fine phrase for this fine morning! 🙂 Speaking of which, the sun has just risen above the forested skyline to the South-East revealing a crystal landscape, for the outside temperature is -8 deg. C. I’m sitting up in bed writing this with three dogs sleeping around Jean & me: Cleo, Hazel and Sweeny. Beautiful start to the year!
