My Mac migration continues
Last Tuesday morning I started a peer-to-peer migration from my ten-year-old Mac to my new Mac.
I read from the Apple site that it would take hours. But I had no idea that it would be still migrating on Thursday morning, I have no idea when it will be done!
So, dear friends, that’s why there have been no posts. Sorry!
UPDATE September 25th
I am now on my new Mac. It is all very strange and I am going to take it slowly in becoming familiar with things.
Until I am ready there will not be any new posts.
Aw, my heart goes out to you.
I hate changing computer!
I left it until the T key and S key on my last laptop failed. I could only type documents by copying and pasting Ts and Ss from other documents.
It could not continue…
I hope you have it resolved soon. xx

Jackie, first I need to let the data transfer continue for as long as possible. It is now 50+ hours since I started the process.
However later today I shall stop the transfer and see where I’m at.
I have also ordered a Thunderbolt cable which, fingers tightly crossed, fits both Macs.
But in general I feel too old for this lark!

Technology is great and can be such a useful tool, but it does scramble my brain sometimes! Best of luck. 50 hours of data transfer is some going. xx

Again, the reason it is taking so long is that they’re going from an Intel operating system to a Mac operating system. Yes, it just takes time. Trust me though, you’ll come out on the other side! and I like the Mac operating system so much better.
