Dear Sue,
They are magnificent. Ages ago they were filled with water and gradually they became accessible for visitors. Do take a look at the online site for the Oregon Caves National Monument..

Loved the intro to the tour on the video Paul, Great Caves you have there, and as you know Derbyshire also has its own unique cave systems with the Blue John Cavern and caves ..
