Just a little distraction for today!

“More than any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to despair and utter hopelessness. The other, to total extinction. Let us pray we have the wisdom to choose correctly.”
Woody Allen (1935 – ), My Speech to the Graduates
Read a few days ago on Baseline Scenario and I couldn’t resist using it. Not the first time, I’m sure, you have read this dear readers but still well worth another airing.
Plus it gives me a chance to remind people that Baseline really is a Blog worth following.

On topic!
I did not know he was, but in this Woody Allen sounds like a true natural member of the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision… those who threw away hope some years ago deciding, on behalf of all of us, without any consultations, that the role of banks was just to avoid perceived risks of default… no matter whatever else the world needed them to do.

Per, it’s a funny old world whether on or off topic! I respect your efforts at reminding the larger world out there about the truth of banking.

Paul, just look at Woody Allen´s face… can´t you picture him in a little cubicle at the Bank of International Settlements anguishing about small businesses not repaying their loans to the bank?
