Thanks to Neil K in Devon for drawing my attention to this poem.
Four-Feet by Rudyard Kipling
I have done mostly what most men do,
And pushed it out of my mind;
But I can’t forget, if I wanted to,
Four-Feet trotting behind.
Day after day, the whole day through —
Wherever my road inclined —
Four-feet said, “I am coming with you!”
And trotted along behind.
Now I must go by some other round, —
Which I shall never find —
Somewhere that does not carry the sound
Of Four-Feet trotting behind.

I have a prized book of Rudyard Kiplings book which was presented to me age 10 for work well done at the end of Term in my junior school.. Rikki Tikki Tava. And I have loved all his works and poems ever since I was introduced to his works..
And enjoyed this poem..
Enjoy your week Paul..

You, too, have a great week. As you will see from tomorrow’s article, I shall be winging my way back to the UK for 10 days, to see my first grandchild; a little boy named Morten.
