Picture Parade Two Hundred and Five

Just a few photos from our night away.

Last Tuesday, Jean and I took a little overnight trip away. We went to Brookings on the Oregon Pacific coast.

As Wikipedia explains:

Brookings is a city in Curry County, Oregon, United States. It was named after John E. Brookings, president of the Brookings Lumber and Box Company, which founded the city in 1908. As of the 2010 census the population was 6,336.

Anyway, a few pictures taken at Meyers Creek Beach that evening and a couple of shots of the Redwood trees seen on the way home on the Wednesday.

  1. Those pictures are to die for, Paul! I miss being near a body of water. You are so lucky to have that beautiful landscape readily available. Oregon is wonderful.

    1. In fairness, Susan, the coast is 80 miles to the West or 100 miles via Hwy 199 into California and then back up to Brookings on Pacific 101. But overall the beauty of this State is breathtaking. I am getting to know a new camera recently acquired. When I have done that, I will share with you, and everyone else, some photos of the countryside nearer to home.

    1. Sweet, dear Sister. How wonderful to read your feedback. Must admit it did feel strange sleeping without dogs on the bed! But it was a good trip! Big hugs to you! ❤️

  4. Great ocean shots and the tree is Humongous! Wow! Of course Sue would see the tree spirit first. I did not notice it at first either. I have a friend that talks about living in Brookings all the time. Just couldn’t picture it. We are going to visit her in her assisted living home in a couple of weeks. I might show her the photos.

  5. It’s such a good thing that you ad Jean were able to get away for a few days. All that driftwood are my favorite shots and of course seeing the beautiful old tree is a feast for the eyes.

Some very nice shots of Jean and you which make for wonderful memories and reflections on a special time and place.
