In praise of thoughtful, articulate people who reason their way through life.
Let me say that I know no more about the person who is Neptunus Lex than anyone else who takes the time to read his Blog. And after I justify the sub-heading of this Post I will give you those links to Mariner Lex.
If you have come into the topic just now, then you may want to read the two Posts on fate.
The first Post was published on October 6th, the second Post the next day. In a sense, these Posts connect with the Carrier series by PBS that you can link to here.
Anyway, back to the theme of this Post.
We live in a very complex and complicated world. It’s a world where all too often freedom of speech gets translated to the one who shouts the loudest wins the argument. Politics doesn’t seem to work too often as well and vested interests seem to trample on common sense all over the place.
So ……..
We need people who think well, reason better and communicate brilliantly more now than we have ever needed them before. Long after I am gone, I want my grandchildren to live in a free world. That future’s custody is in my hands now; hence the effort put into this Blog by me and the team. It’s in your hands as well – in the hands of all the right-minded, integrous and reasonable citizens of the world. Integrity really is an idea whose time has come.
So whoever you are, Mr Lex, this one-time (British) Naval radio operator and long-time civilian, salutes you.
You can read more about Neptunus Lex. His archives are here and his active Blog here.
