You attract what you think about!

It is my very great pleasure to introduce a new author to the Learning from Dogs Blog team.

I first met Dapinder Bains when he became a coaching client some 18 months ago.  Dapinder was seeking some guidance (not that coaching is guidance in the strict sense of the word) with regard to a new Internet business.  That Dapinder really required this coaching was, initially, a puzzle as he was already managing 500 web sites!  Clearly a fascinating person.

Anyway, over the months, we have got to know each other well.  So when Dapinder expressed an interest in contributing to the Blog there was no hesitation in me welcoming him to the team.  Over to him …

There is currently a lot being said over the internet about the ‘law of attraction’.  It is said to be a law of the universe and in basic terms it is: what you think about you attract. ‘Think’ in this context means visualise.

There are 4 stages to the successful application of the law and they are:

      1. Visualisation
      2. Feelings
      3. Action
      4. Receiving

Further explained; you must think about and see in you mind what you want, and feel confidence that you will receive it.

magnetsYou will then attract into your life circumstances or opportunities which will help you achieve what you want and you must act upon those and then receive, with gratitude, what you wanted.

Some will indeed call this the law of attraction and, others, common sense.

So, if you are an angry person, you will generally get from others angry and dismissive responses, and if you are a happy person you will generally get kindness and happiness returned.

Dogs, once again, give us the example.  The aggressive dog engenders an aggressive and hostile posture from another. The calm and inquisitive dog a likewise response.

So how should we act and conduct ourselves in daily life?

Should we completely ignore the above or follow it like slaves?

Let’s think about this and thrash it out on this blog.
