Introduction

Dear Reader of Learning from Dogs,

The first post in this blog was published on the 15th July 2009, now more than 8 years ago. In my wildest imagination, I would not have predicted that I would still be publishing posts today. Or, indeed, that more than 3,300 posts have been published since that day, that the blog has received more than 1.3 million viewings in that time, and that over 2,500 good people now follow this place.

But what that does say to me that it is about time that I listened to what you like and, better still, how this blog could even better communicate with you.

So here’s a short survey that I would dearly love for you to complete. No personal details are being asked for or recorded and the results of the survey will be shared with you all in this place.

  2. I love this blog as a little piece of serenity to find soft words at the end of a bad news day. But what I like most is that I learn a lot about animal behaviour. As a pet sitter, it is invaluable information that I learn from your posts. I’m not sure how it could be improved…seems to have everything. The vet visits were informative…and helpful for a view into the surgical side of pet care.
    While I don’t always comment, my reader notifies me of all your posts. Keep up the good work. Oh, and if you find yourself wandering onto other topics, that’s fine too…because there are many connections in the world. Not even dogs live in isolation. Everything affects them as well as us.šŸ˜Š

  5. Very interesting survey. I hated answering the questions that admit I have no dog currently. I miss a dog and when my sister comes to my home soon for hospice care, her dog will come with her and may just end up with me permanently. She has made alternate arrangements should the need arise as I’m no spring chicken either. Her companion will be as welcome as any of my children. I do get my fuzzy loving from the dogs in the neighborhood as well. There is no question that a dog can show distinctly who you are as a person and they are a huge blessing in ones life… unless you are an ass.

  7. I enjoyed the questionnaire Paul but the one relating to Dogs, I answered for dogs, but I have kept cats.. LOL… and to me, our fourlegged friends serve us equally šŸ™‚

    1. Sue, that’s perfectly understood and our feline friends do find their way on to these pages from time to time. But the blog is called Learning from Dogs!! Thank you so much for completing the survey.
