		<description><![CDATA[Hi Paul. Thanks for the link to the &lt;em&gt;Earth and Solar System&lt;/em&gt; blog.  However, I think it is a little unfair to say the mainstream media has &lt;em&gt;&quot;moved on&quot;&lt;/em&gt;.  This week the BBC may well be focused on terrestrial and domestic politics but, &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-19396270&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;the BBC did report this story last week (on 28 August)&lt;/a&gt;; including an explanation of esoteric terms like &#039;unconformity&#039; and the geochemistry of different rock types.  

However, I feel the BBC failed to take the opportunity to use one of my favourite words (and one of the longest I know): Because, in place of a lengthy phrase such as &#039;the environmental conditions on Mars in the early history of the Solar system&#039;, I think it would be much simpler to use the word in question (which I would love to see on a Scrabble board), which is... &#039;palaeoenvironmental&#039;. ;-)]]></description>
